Seven of Wands

Upright/Well Dignified: The Seven of Wands is hardly a card about an easy time. When it shows up, it’s often talking about the fact that there’s a fair amount of adversity ahead. That’s the bad news. The good news is that you’re in the right position to do something and walk away from it, a little worse for wear, but still better off than whatever you’re up against. Whether it’s people being jealous of what you’ve got are simply just not liking you, your opponents are wanting to drag you down and aren’t really above ganging up on you to get what they want. You in the type of position have the “higher ground,” despite what others may think. As long as you’re willing to struggle a little, you’re probably coming out on top.

There could be some difficult negotiations coming up, so keep your wits about you. Some rushed decisions could very well be coming back to bite you in the ass, or you could simply have made a small oversight that is being blown out of proportion by people that should know better. This card could be a warning to watch what you’re doing because people are looking for a way to completely lose their shit at you. The best that you can do is hold onto your integrity because people at the moment aren’t above slinging dirt at each other and you have a chance to show that you’re better than that.

No matter how this card manifests, just make sure that you don’t sink to everyone else’s level.

Reversed/Ill Dignified: When the reversed Seven of Wands shows up, there’s a good chance that you’ve been taken by surprise and have lost the upper hand in a conflict or situation. There’s a good chance that you’ll find yourself overcome or “beaten down” for your opinion, whether you happen to be correct or not. Here, you’re the underdog and are being treated as such. ¬†Any point that you try to make will be taken to mean something completely different, so it may be time to save your breath. Eventually people will figure out whether you’re right or wrong and they’ll find another scapegoat.

There’s a chance that an oversight that you wrote off as minor may be a lot bigger than you initially thought. In a situation like this, the best thing that you can do is a lot of damage control and fix whatever fuckups have contributed to the current problems. The cumulative effect needs to be stopped by going to the original mistake and fixing it. From there, it may be a case of taking each mistake from there on as it comes up and hoping like hell that the whole mess doesn’t bury you.

The possibility of failure in regards to negotiations is there as well, in which case, you’ll need to look at why the negotiations went sour. Some situations just aren’t meant to be and the one that you’re pushing for is one of them. This is the point where you need to figure out where to go from here, as the only way from here is up, despite what all of the aggression around you is trying to tell you. The best that you can do is to handle things with good grace. Even if you end up at the bottom of the pecking order for a little while, you’ll still end up looking better than most of the people around you.
